Nick Harper, (son of folky legend and self-confessed `last looney on the bus` Roy), has none of his father`s wierdness, but has obviously got the gene for great songwriting. He ploughs a similar furrow to his pater in the acoustic/folk field, but is altogether more stable and less threatening to the music business at large.

An interesting and satisfying performance in an intimate venue that really allows his gentle music to not be swallowed in the echoes that larger places have to contend with. Nick`s singer/songwriter genre is a cramped and successful pond at the moment, but he should rise to the top quickly after performances like the one witnessed tonight.
