GIGS IN JULY 2007

CUCKOO, TRURO (20TH JULY)

SEED
Trevor Kemp, (guitar/vocals), Ivan Wellington, (bass) and Liam Jolly, (drums), took to the Cuckoo stage on Friday night after extensive soundchecks by other bands later on the bill and ripped into Seed`s fast paced, punked up set with gusto. With the years of experience that exist in Seed, Trevor and the band had no trouble in drawing a healthy crowd into a previously quiet pub. People seemed to appear from nowhere as soon as the band started and the numbers just kept growing as Seed pumped out the raw punk rock sounds that have made them a local legend. Trev`s reedy voice is perfect for the raw, distorted music that his guitar hammers out across the solid hard-working Jolly drumming and powerfully melodic bass of Wellington.
Previously quite quiet on the live scene, Seed now have an extensive gig list ahead of them this year right up until new years eve, so you`re going to be hard pushed not to see the band that by the end of the year will have to be crowned the hardest gigging local band in some dodgy award ceremony. Luckily Seed are worthy of such awards and the quicker you get down to one of the gigs the quicker you`ll agree.
The new studio album came out last year, now we need a live album this year to cement this massive band`s place in the local scene.
